Nearly two dozen volunteers, some of them strangers, showed up to help a Boy Scout rebuild a project that vandals destroyed.

CBS 11’s Jason Allen told you about the Eagle Scout project that Colton Williams spent months working on.

The 13–year-old mowed lawns and solicited donations to buy fencing, stakes and signs. He then spent a weekend with more than 30 others to construct the project to help stop trail erosion at the Bob Jones Nature Center.

Shortly after the work was done, someone used horses to move the wood reinforcement and destroy the fencing. Williams and his mother estimated the vandals did about about $600 worth of damage.
