DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – All kinds of seriously cool bikes are rolling into North Texas for the Progressive International Motorcycle Show this weekend. It features some stunt bikes, one-of-a-kind motorcycles and more.

The riders with the XDL Street Jam stunt show popped wheelies for CBS 11 News on Friday morning. They will have nine different performances that show off their athleticism and skills.

Chris Tice, who serves as director of competition and emcee for XDL Street Jam, said that the event is the perfect place for motorcycle enthusiasts — no matter what kind of motorcycles you like. “There’s something here for the kids, mom and dad. It doesn’t matter whether you’re into dirt, into dual sport, street bike, Harley, anything like that. There’s really something here for everybody,” he said. “Everybody here is really a motorcycle enthusiast, so it’s cool to come over and see these talented riders putting on a show and showing what these bikes are capable of. You get to see some of the gear in action.”

Motorccyle builders can also compete for top honors and big prizes. Bob Kay of Southlake is the event organizer for the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Competition. He said that several different types of bikes are in the competition, and they are decked out in cool finishes and details. They range in value from $5,000 to $75,000. “You get to get real close,” Kay said. “You get to talk to the builders. A really unique experience for consumers to come in.”

From art to motorcycle gear, the place will be packed with different things for motorcycle enthusiasts.

The event takes place at the Dallas Convention Center from Friday through Sunday. Click here for more details.
