WAXAHACHIE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A Waxahachie High School student could face charges following discovery of a hit list of 18 names. It was reported by another student who saw the list.
The suspectd was removed from class, questioned by police and may face charges in juvenile court.
“Our investigation thus far hasn’t found any evidence of further planning or actual preparation,” said Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff. “The student wasn’t found in possession of any weapons.”
Candace Ahlfinger with the Waxahachie ISD says the student could face school disciplinary action.
“Because of the awareness of our students and our staff, the threat was eliminated before it could be realized. We handled things quickly” Ahlfinger said. “Threats of any kind are taken seriously and it requires us to work together for the safety of our students and our staff.”
Parents of students on the hit list were called. All other Waxahachie High School parents were notified by automatic phone message and- e-mail.
