DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Late Monday night police were searching for the driver who crashed through a crossing arm and struck a DART train.

A southbound Red Line train was going through the Restland crossing when a person driving a Lexus, goign westbound, crashed through the crossing arm and struck the second car of the train.

The train wasn’t moving at a fast pace because it was slowing down on approach to the LBJ Central Station.

The crossing arms were down and lights were flashing when the crash occurred.

While the Lexus came to a stop on east side of right of way, the driver fled the scene.

Three people on the train said they had minor knee injuries. All were transported to Medical City Hospital.

A shuttle is currently in place from LBJ Central to Spring Valley in Richardson. It will be taking customers back and forth in the area until further notice.
