NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) – People who use ‘12345’ as their password to any online accounts may as well hand their information over to strangers.

Password manager service “Splashdata” released its annual list Tuesday of the worst passwords by compiling more than 3 million leaked passwords from 2014.

The top two worst passcodes are ‘123456’ and ‘password’.

The words qwerty, dragon, baseball and football also made the top 10 worst passwords list.

The passcode ‘Batman’ was a new word added to the top 25 list this year.

The service said picking a common word or sports team or number string is the worst thing someone can do because those are the first things hackers use when trying to crack accounts.
