DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A foot fetish and a North Texas man’s attempt to satisfy it has landed him in jail.

Convicted sex offender Harry John Russo, had been hiding out in Houston, to avoid an arrest warrant issued for him earlier this month, according to Houston television station, KTRK.

Russo, was charged with indecent exposure, after he propositioned car hops at an Allen Sonic at the end of 2013, according to police. He told police he offered female workers at restaurants in Allen and Plano $20 to look at their feet. He offered and additional $20 if they would let him satisfy himself as he watched. Russo was arrested and later plead guilty.

KTRK Reporter Jessica Willey exclusively interviewed Russo as he was being escorted by law enforcement to the Harris County Jail. That’s where he will spend the next few days until Collin County officials pick him up. Willey asked him about his foot fetish, to which he replied, “What?!”

Although, Russo seemed to deny recalling his most recent conviction, Allen and Plano Police say there were possible other cases involving Russo and other Sonic employees.

Trevor Dobbs, a manager at the Allen Sonic where Russo was arrested, says he will never forget the night Russo approached one of their co-workers.

“He ended up giving her $40 to see her feet, so he could do his thing,” said Dobbs.  “She was coming back in with an order, and the guy stopped her, and when she got back inside she just looked like she saw a ghost. ”

It’s something fellow employees had heard was happening at other local Sonic restaurants, but they hoped it wouldn’t happen to them.  When it did, they made a plan to keep him there.

“She ended up going back outside to tell the guy to meet her at the back of the store to stall, and then when she came back inside, that’s when we ended up calling the cops, and then she met him back outside just to keep him there,” said Dobbs.

The plan worked. After his arrest, court records show Russo plead guilty to indecent exposure in the case, but it was a 1979 conviction for attempting to sexually assault a woman during a burglary that landed him on the Texas Sex Offender Registry. Russo lived in Plano with his parents who told us their son cut off his electronic ankle monitor in August. They say they’ve been looking for him since then until his arrest in Houston.
