PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) – Where can you find kids clothes, baby clothes, toys, strollers, car seats, and more for 75% off retail? This weekend you can find it all at Plano Center for the semi-annual Divine Consign sale.

The sale is in its 14th year and is held at two locations twice a year, for a total of four sales annually. Grapevine’s spring/summer sale was last weekend. Plano’s is this weekend.

Stephanie Scott, who organizes the sales along with Tina Teutsch, says it’s a “win” for everyone involved.

“People love doing this! They get so excited about shopping for bargains,” she said.

This weekend’s sale will feature nearly 90,000 items for everything from newborns to junior sizes. Scott says parents can find dressy dresses for Easter, shorts and shirts for boys, swimsuits, bikes, and toys. The average price for each item is just under $5.

Admission is free. Parking is free, and the bargains parents can find inside have made this a successful sale for years.

“We hear from people who will say ‘Thank you for doing this, this is how I can provide for my family.’”

Ambra Browles, mother of two boys, has shopped the sale every year for the past 10 years. “I have left every sale I have been to with practically a whole new wardrobe for both my boys and a shelf full of new books! The things I find may not all be new but they are to my boys!! I live on a very tight budget due to the fact that my husband lost his job, so this sale is not only a great joy but a true blessing to us all that can’t afford shopping at the mall or even Target!”

The gently used items up for sale are provided by parents whose kids have outgrown them or in some cases never used them. The seller decides on the price of the item, but organizers recommend 75% off.

Browles shares some of her best buys over the years, “Some of my families favorites were the battery operated jeep the boys could ride in and drive. I bought it for $50! I have got a huge collection of Star Wars figures (and I mean the original vintage kind) for $20 when it would be worth 100’s elsewhere! I have found my son a huge lego city lego set for $15 when the same one sold for $70 at Wal-mart!”

The regular sale begins on Sunday 12-5 and continues Monday 10-3. Then, three hours later, shoppers are welcomed back in for the half-price sale. Most items are reduced by 50% on Monday from 6-9p. Finally, on Tuesday, the sale dips to 75% off from 8-12. About 4,000 shoppers are expected over the 3 day period.
