EASTLAND COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — CBS 11 has confirmed a casualty in Cisco, reportedly as a result of the severe weather.

Walter Fairbanks of the Cisco Fire Department reports two victims of the series of weekend tornadoes. One was killed; the other critically injured.

Eastland County Judge Rex Fields tells the Associated Press there are others unaccounted for after tornadoes struck the rural farming area. Heavy rain Saturday evening has made early damage assessment difficult.

Fields says the tornado has taken the homes “into pieces and blown them out into pastures.”

Weather Service spotters reported the first twister on the ground late Saturday afternoon, about 100 miles west of Fort Worth.

The storm containing the tornado was accompanied by hail as large as baseballs.
