“It’s everywhere. People are reading on their phone on the freeways. People are turning into traffic,” said one Plano resident.
The community meeting was held in hopes to implement a distracted texting law specific to the city.

“They talk about educating people, and that’s how we’re gonna solve the problem, but if people that are my age and older are doing this, they need more than education,” said one resident.
The group plans to reach out to a city manager as the next step toward enforcing a law against texting while driving.
