When you think of the Humane Society of North Texas, you normally think dogs and cats and maybe an occasional bunny rabbit right? This summer the HSNT has an adoption program going on for a special group of lovable animals.
“We have rescued more than 140 donkeys since April. Now they are all healthy and they are ready for adoptive homes” said Whitney Hansen of the Humane Society of North Texas.
Donkeys make loving and loyal pets. “Our equine staff likes to say that they are kind of a mix between a dog and a horse” added Whitney.
This summer you can adopt a donkey for $100 through the Humane Society of North Texas. JD Ryan is Around Town with these animals that even an Ogre could love!
