RICHARDSON (CBSDFW.COM) — For the next two weeks, up to two lanes of Renner Road in Richardson will be closed.

At any given time workers will have one or two lanes of eastbound Renner Road, at Foxboro Drive, closed so that a faulty water valve can be replaced.

The outside lane will be closed during the entire two-week period, while the center lane will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There could also be center lane closures that last more than a day, but city officials say workers will try to keep it open as much as possible.

While work is being done on a water valve, nearby residents and businesses are not expected to be impacted.

Drivers are being encouraged to use alternate routes during construction.
