TEXAS CITY (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says crews are searching for a man who went missing from his 48-foot sailboat while it was anchored near an island in Galveston Bay.

The Coast Guard said the search for Benton Scott Fleming began Sunday morning after his friend called them to say that Fleming had gone up to adjust the anchor line and didn’t return. The Coast Guard says Fleming is in his 50s.

Among the search crews are a Coast Guard helicopter, boat crews and Galveston County Sheriff’s Department personnel.
