WYLIE (CBSDFW.COM) – While driving to work Monday, one of the keepers at In-Sync Exotics reportedly witnessed a vehicle two cars in front of her throw something from the car window. The keeper quickly realized that what the driver was throwing was kittens from the car.

She was unable to get a plate number because there was another car between them. The incident happened on Highway 78 at Beltline.

The keeper and another Good Samaritan stopped. The other driver stopped traffic so the keeper could assess the situation. She found one kitten who’d been hit by a car right after it was thrown and likely died on impact.

She was able to rescue one living kitten.

They only found the two.

Both have been taken to In-Sync. The one that didn’t make it will be buried at the center’s Memorial Wall, and they care for the survivor with “all the love and commitment we show all our cats.”

The kitten has been eating but is understandably frightened.

In-Synch Exotics says, “If you know who committed such a violent, heartless act, please contact your local law enforcement agency. And please, if you end up with unwanted animals; call a local animal rescue group. There are many in the area, and they are willing and able to help. Also, please spay and neuter your pets!”
