NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) – One Day University: Ronald Reagan, A Remarkable Life is at McFarland Memorial Auditorium at SMU Thursday November 12 featuring H.W. Brands of the University of Texas at Austin. Professor Brands will discuss how Reagan’s personality and his unwavering beliefs enabled him to engineer a conservative revolution in American politics and play a crucial role in ending communism in the Soviet Union.

At the Allen Public Library, you can hear from JFK’s Last Doctor Thursday November 12. Parkland Hospital surgeon Dr. Robert N. McClelland was on duty November 22, 1963, when the severely injured President John F. Kennedy was rushed to the emergency room. Dr. McClelland will share his unique insights of what occurred in the trauma room that day.
