CBS 11 has issued a Weather Alert Day beginning at 4pm Monday and continuing through early morning Tuesday.
There are areas of light rain all over. This will make the afternoon commute messy.
There looks to be the chance of storms developing as we go into the evening hours roughly 6pm to 11pm. The strength of these is tough to tell. The potential is there for these to be severe, but the question is how much upper level energy will be here already during that time frame. But there will be scattered showers and storms this evening.
This is still the time frame where a squall line will move toward DFW. Timing in DFW between about 2am and 6am. Severe winds (60+mph) look to be main threat with embedded tornadoes a possibility.
