DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Dallas police officers rescued a woman from her car in Northwest Dallas early Saturday morning.

The woman called 911 to say her car was floating away on California Crossing at Wildwood Drive around 2 a.m., police say. Dallas police waded into waist-high water to try to get to her but then called in a boat.

Police say water in that area was more than six feet deep.
