Launched at noon Wednesday, it features an online questionnaire and phone bank number for storm victims or someone close to them to identify themselves and any needs they may have.

The district hopes to locate all affected students and staff as soon as possible, so transportation, meals, school uniforms, etc. can be coordinated before work and school resume Jan. 4 and 5.

The phone bank (972-487-4999) will be operational from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday throughout Jan. 8.

Spanish-speaking operators are also available.

Once information is entered via the online form or phone bank, affected families will be contacted by GISD officials to organize assistance.
