A cyclist riding through Jack Carter Park near Carlisle Elementary called police Tuesday afternoon after he found what he described as a human skull.
Not only did they find a skull, but a second bone as well.
Police used cadaver dogs around the area and brought in a helicopter to get a birds eye view of where exactly the bones were found.
David Tilley with Plano police says it’s still too early to tell if the bones might belong to Christina Morris, who went missing in August of 2014.READ MORE: No Injuries Reported After Propane Tank Explosion At Texas Motor Speedway
“We do have a few missing person cases that we are looking into, one of them being Christina Morris.”
Morris’ family as well as the family of Christopher Tennyson, who went missing last April, were contacted as a courtesy by police.
The Collin County medical examiner is testing the bones to find if they are actually human remains.
“Part of our investigation is to determine if these bones are actually those of a human.” Tilley says. “At this point, investigators aren’t even venturing a guess.”MORE NEWS: Officials: 2 Missing Texas Kids Found Alive After Being Kidnapped By Registered Sex Offender
