“This was an excellent effort by several bureaus of the department working as a team to recover these tailgates and get them back to their rightful owners,” says Interim Police Chief Robert Piccioni.  “Tailgate theft is on the rise statewide, and this arrest sends a message to those who steal tailgates in the City of Mesquite that we will come after you.”

Police say they’re in the process of trying to return the stolen tailgates to the truck owners.
