COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – Parents in Prosper are on the lookout for a white Chevy Impala that they said belongs to a child predator.

A homeowner snapped a photo of the car after a man tried to lure a child into it Sunday evening.

It was seen cruising the neighborhood where parents are now reinforcing stranger danger to their kids.

“The first thought was ‘where did it happen? Oh crap is behind me? That’s really scary’ — all I wanted to do was hug my kids,” said Prosper resident and mother, Jennifer Pittman.

This incident comes after a similar one in Anna where a man driving a green van enticed an 11-year-old girl who ran away from him to her home.

Similar incidents have popped up recently in Van Alstyne, Melissa and Princeton.

Prosper Police said that even though the vehicle descriptions are different they won’t rule out a connection.
