GARLAND (CBSDFW) – Garland police are searching for the driver responsible for killing a pedestrian in the 5500 block of Lyons Road on Thursday night.

Investigators believe 51-year-old Gary Edward Nawrocki was struck by an unknown vehicle when he was walking in the roadway.

Nawrocki was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and its driver.
