DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton is stopping in Dallas Friday morning.
A private fundraiser will be held at the home of Dallas attorney Lisa Blue from 10 a.m. to noon.
Matt Wilson is a political science professor at SMU and says Clinton might be making several more stops in Texas before the November election.
“The democrats might be making a play for Texas in this campaign,” he said. “The hope from their standpoint is that Trump’s candidacy mobilizes the Latino vote in a way that it never has been before.”
He says Clinton will most likely have to raise and spend more money than any presidential candidate before her.
“I don’t think she’ll have any trouble raising as much money as she needs, but she will be going all over the country to do that. To places like Dallas as well as her real fundraising epicenters like New York and Los Angeles,” Wilson says.
