DALLAS (CBSDFW) – Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings revealed the city’s plans on Friday morning for a new park to be built at the Trinity River.

Rawlings said the concept will send a vision for what the city can be, noting that the park “will bring the city together.”

The Mayor said citizens of Dallas are united around the 285-acre park in Dallas between the levees near the Trinity River, but the plan for the park must still be thoroughly vetted by the citizens.

Rawlings also said the plan for the park embraces nature and that they are putting the Trinity River back into the Trinity River Park plan.
