Ragtime is a fun historical journey through the growing pains of America.  Written at the turn of the century, Ragtime explores the societal dynamics of the dreams and disappointments of families in America.

“It follows three different groups of people at the turn of the twentieth century.  You have a white family from New Rochelle, New York, then you have African Americans living in Harlem, then you have Eastern European immigrants living on the lower east side” said Matthew Curiano who plays Tateh in the National Tour of Ragtime.

Two local Dallas actors, James Hayes (age 7) and Anthony Taylor (age 5) alternately play the role of Colehouse Walker Jr., son of the male lead.  Their walk-on roles occur in the final, uplifting moments of the show.
