DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A Dallas man was convicted of killing his friend, while high on PCP and K2.

Naing Myo Swe, 21, was found guilty of murder Tuesday evening in the March 2014 beating death of Anthwan Clinton, 19. He was sentenced this week to 25 years in prison.

Swe testified that Clinton tried to sexually assault him before he swung at him with a hammer. The two had spent the day smoking K-2 and PCP.

Swe said after smoking Clinton started acting like he was “possessed” and “like a zombie” so he grabbed the hammer to defend himself, and hit Clinton in the back of the head.

Swe was arrested after crossing back into the U.S. at the Laredo border. His lawyer says he will likely be deported back to his home country of Burma when his sentence is complete.
