DALLAS (CBS11) – A popular Dallas restaurant chain could face a serious backlash after an employee turned away a group of police officers who went there for lunch.

CBS 11 has learned that the officers arrived at the Genghis Grill on Greenville Avenue around noon Tuesday.

An employee reportedly told them that other customers might not feel comfortable with them inside the restaurant.

The officers left without ordering and when word got back to the restaurant’s management, the employee was fired.

On its Twitter page, the company says it immediately launched an investigation and does not stand for that kind of behavior.
