“I had a dream of having a music school since I was in Poland during the communist times” said Owner of the Park Cities School of Music Eva Brandys.
Eva’s amazing talent earned her a full scholarship at Dallas Baptist University and then a full Masters scholarship at SMU.
Her dream, The Park Cities School of Music, just celebrated its fifth anniversary. It has grown to thirty five instructors and students from all over North Texas.

“Those young children will put headphones with the music playing from Sinatra or the times that they remember way back” Eva added.
The music seems to connect with the patients and they brighten up, some even begin to dance. “Music Is Our Weapon” is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to increasing emotional, physical and mental well-being through the power of music according to their website.
