Normally finding a rock isn’t a reason to celebrate, but in Mansfield a Facebook group has taken to the city streets and local parks to play hide and seek with very special stones.

The Facebook group called Mansfield Rocks paints rocks with acrylic paints in all sorts of designs and themes.  They then take to the streets and parks to hide them for others to find.  The idea has really caught on!

“It’s so much fun because it gets families together.  The kids love painting and the mom’s have told me painting these rocks is really therapeutic” said creator of the Facebook group Mansfield Rocks Belinda Daughtry.

People in the group paint the front of the rocks in as many ways as your imagination can take you.  On the back of the rock they leave a special message.

“We write ‘Keep or hide, you decide’ and normally they will say post picture on Mansfield Rocks” added Daughtry.

Better than Pokémon Go and much more fun for the whole family to play.

Several other groups have sprung up across Texas as a result of the huge success of Mansfield Rocks.
