DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – According to Union Pacific, one of its trains struck a man who was on the tracks near Military Avenue early Sunday morning.

Union Pacific said the man did not respond to warning sounds from the oncoming train. He was struck and suffered severe head injuries.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was expected to survive according to Union Pacific as of Sunday afternoon.
