FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – After much anticipation and months of campaigning in what has been described as the most bizarre presidential election ever, voting day has arrived.

Tarrant County voters spoke to CBS 11 about why they decided to vote today instead of during the early voting period.

Marcus Ramsey, a Fort Worth resident stopped by his polling place in the Stop Six neighborhood Tuesday afternoon and said, “I usually wait till the last minute.”

While many people said they procrastinated on voting during the weeks of early voting, others say they waited until today because they couldn’t make up their mind.

Marvin Haley is one of those voters. “It was a little tough but I kind of had my mind going toward one way, and I made up my mind today,” said Haley.

Sharmaine Willis said she was also split between who to vote for. “I hope I am making the right decision,” added Willis.

One thing all voters we spoke to said it was very important to show up and vote despite how voters are feeling about the candidates.
