DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas police are investigating a deadly crash that happened along the LBJ Freeway early Thursday morning.

An officer on the scene told CBS 11 News that a Toyota Camry, with a driver and passenger inside, appeared to have broken down and attempted to pull off on the shoulder near the Coit Road exit.READ MORE: 2 People Killed In Chemical Incident At Plant Near Houston
The two people, who were outside of the car at the time, were hit by an oncoming SUV.
A traffic investigative team and the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office were called the scene. Officials say the victims were a 35-year-old man and a boy in his teens.MORE NEWS: Teen Dies In High-Speed Crash In Carrollton
Police are still investigating the crash, but said there are no criminal charges pending.
