DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The Dallas Police Department’s Northeast Patrol Division unveiled a portrait of a fallen Dallas officer Tuesday.

During the dedication for Officer Rogelio Santander’s portrait, the department also honored Officer Santander’s family, saying they will forever be a part of the Dallas Police Department family.

Officer Santander was shot and killed while responding to a shoplifting call at a Home Depot in April.
