DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A family is safe this morning after a fire started at their North Dallas home just before 4:00 a.m.

Firefighters believe a lightning strike may be to blame for blaze at the home on Capistrano Drive.

Smoke was pouring from the eaves when fire crews first arrived.

The family says they were awaken by smoke detectors and were able to get out safely.

No one was hurt and firefighters quickly put out the flames.
