Dallas Fort Worth ice-skating rinks provide plenty of activities year round, but during the holiday season, they can make a great place for a winter wonderland escape. Gather up your family or bring along a date and make your holidays memorable at Dallas Fort Worth’s best places to skate.

Dallas may not have a Rockefeller Center, but it does have an indoor ice rink at the Galleria that’s a festive place to skate during the holidays. The rink gets decked out for the season with a 95-foot-tall Christmas tree complete with ornaments and 250,000 lights twinkling to the sounds of the season. There’s also a full schedule of ice-themed entertainment, including performances by a back-flipping Santa and other skating champions. The center offers year-round skating and classes for all levels. If you can’t skate but want to try, then take the introductory 15-minute lesson to help you get your glide on. When hunger pains strike, grab a bite or a stiff drink at the restaurants located around the rink. Holiday festivities at the Galleria start after Thanksgiving and continue until first of the year.

Get a group together for some broomball action on ice without skates, or reserve the snow day skate party so you and your friends may spin around in a snow-filled rink any time of the year. Get into the holiday spirit by spending a day on the ice with Santa, Nov. 23, or come out for the holiday show featuring a variety of exciting entertainment on ice, plus a chance for photos with Santa and his deer.
