Well if you head on up to Allen, TX, you can participate in the New Year’s Double, which is a full and half marathon and a 5K run. The race actually starts on Dec. 31, 2015, but you can enjoy it on New Year’s Day. Registration starts at 6:20 a.m. on New Year’s Day, and the course ends around 4:00 p.m. You can park at the race site, but get there early enough to beat the traffic. The entry fee is $85 for the full and half marathon, but there is a waiting list for the 5K run for adults and kids.
